WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Matt Rosendale (MT-02) criticized President Biden's Fiscal Year 2025 budget, calling it a significant departure from expected fiscal responsibility. Rosendale expressed his disapproval of the delay in the budget's release, highlighting that it exceeded the deadline set by the Congressional Budget Act.
"In typical D.C. Cartel fashion, Biden released his budget for FY2025 over a month past the First Monday in February deadline that was set in the Congressional Budget Act," said Rep. Rosendale.
Rosendale further emphasized the discrepancy between the budget's $7.3 trillion price tag and the anticipated revenue, stating, "The $7.3 trillion price tag is $2.3 trillion more than expected revenue and an insult to American taxpayers who will be forced to foot the bill for the continuation of this administration’s increasing debt, open border, and Green New Deal policies."
The congressman also highlighted President Biden's previous support for the Congressional Budget Act, noting the disappointment in the current administration's handling of budgetary deadlines. Rosendale's critique underscores concerns about the financial burden placed on taxpayers and the implications of the budget for the country's economic future.
