WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Matt Rosendale (MT-02) voiced his opposition to the upcoming Minibus spending package in a firm statement, aligning himself with the House Freedom Caucus to urge his fellow House members to reject the measure.

Rep. Rosendale conveyed his strong stance by stating, "As expected, the D.C. Cartel is once again attempting to force another Minibus spending package that does nothing to rein in wasteful spending and secure our border, which is why I will strongly oppose it." He emphasized that the package fails to address critical issues such as border security and fiscal responsibility.

Highlighting the sentiments of his constituents, Rep. Rosendale added, "Montanans did not send me to Congress to continue to fund Joe Biden's radical leftist agenda and Nancy Pelosi's reckless spending while turning a blind eye to the crisis at our southern border." His words underscored the frustration felt by many who seek a more prudent approach to government expenditures.

In a call to action, Rep. Rosendale urged his colleagues to stand in solidarity, stating, "I urge my colleagues to do the same and vote no on this upcoming attempt to fund government irresponsibly. It is time we take control over our nation's purse strings, put an end to reckless government spending, and secure our borders!"

The congressman's letter, in alliance with the House Freedom Caucus, serves as a notable dissenting voice against the impending spending package, advocating for fiscal discipline and border security.
