Kolan Recalls Children’s Sandals Due to Violation of Federal Lead Content Ban

0Comments

Below is information regarding Kolan’s Otter MOMO Children’s Sandals recall. The product was sold on Amazon from March 2022 through April 2022 and has been associated with a complaint in Montana.

A Montana child has tested for elevated lead levels after exposure to the product.

The recall is being implemented because the inner layer of the recalled sandals contains levels of lead that exceed the federal lead content ban. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues.

Action Needed- Immediately dispose of the product. Go to Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) for more details and product photos. Contact your local public health department. Visit the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program website to learn more about protecting your family from lead.

Product: Otter MOMO Kolan Children’s Sandals (model D723)
