The Montana Chamber of Commerce attended a public meeting on Apr. 3 where NorthWestern Energy sought input on its 2026 Integrated Resource Plan. Charles Robison, General Counsel for the Montana Chamber of Commerce, spoke in support of the plan and highlighted the importance of energy reliability and an all-of-the-above approach to energy.

The topic is significant as it addresses ongoing discussions about Montana’s future energy resources and how to ensure reliable power for businesses and residents. The involvement of business leaders underscores the broader economic impact that energy policy decisions can have across the state.

Robison said at the meeting that supporting diverse sources for energy production remains crucial. He noted that reliability is a key concern for businesses who depend on stable power supplies.

The Montana Chamber also encouraged stakeholders to review additional updates in its newsletter, which covers topics such as Public Service Commission developments, tax news, and upcoming member events.

Looking ahead, further public meetings are expected as NorthWestern Energy continues to gather feedback before finalizing its resource plan.
