Ridge Athletics Club opened its doors May 15 after being closed for roughly two months; but not without social distancing guidelines, according to Bozeman Daily Chronicle.
Gym general manager Steve Roderick expressed his excitement about being back in business. He told Daily Chronicle: “It’s not like it was Christmas. I’m excited to be able to offer health and fitness to our members and community again. Then I just went, ‘God. I want it to be OK. I don’t want to be the catalyst behind anything but good stuff.’”
The gym, which was only initially going to be closed for two weeks, is now reopening with a new normal thanks to COVID-19. The staff will be trained on updated policies in order to prevent the highly contagious disease from spreading even further.
There will be hand sanitizer at the entrance, along with several other stations. Gym management will also post signs that detail rules and regulations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The gym will only open to 50% capacity. Guests are currently not allowed, and the gym is preparing to use the members' contact information in case contact tracing is required soon.
