ZoomAnnual Pearl Street Menorah Lighting Goes Virtual
Join 500+ Jews of Boulder County to Light the Hanukkah Menorah in Unison!
BOULDER, CO, Nov. 13, 2020: For over 20 years, Boulder’s Jewish community has gathered on the Pearl Street Mall to light the largest Hanukkah menorah in the county. For the first time in the history of Boulder County, hundreds of Jews will Zoom together to kindle the menorah and bring the light of Hanukkah into all their homes and lives.
“The message of Hanukkah is the message of light. The nature of light is that it is always victorious over darkness. A small amount of light dispels a lot of darkness. Another act of goodness and kindness, another act of light, can make all the difference,” said Rabbi Pesach Scheiner, co-founder of the Boulder County Center for Judaism.
Steve Brodsky will lead the annual sing-along from his home. Josh Raderman will give instructions as he prepares his famous latkes, and Akiva Balter, founder of Gam Zoom Litova, is staying up late in her East coast home to host this historic celebration.
Please put December 10th at 5:30pm on your calendar so you don’t miss it.
