WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Matt Rosendale (MT-02) participated in a House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee hearing today. The hearing, titled "Ensuring VA’s Security: How Can Congress Best Support VA’s Law Enforcement," aimed to express support for VA police officers and examine the rise in crime at VA facilities. This increase comes despite a decrease in the number of veterans visiting these facilities due to the expansion of telehealth and community care.

“I am proud to support law enforcement and believe that VA law enforcement plays an essential role in ensuring the security of veterans and VA facilities,” said Rep. Rosendale. “Policing is a hard job that requires courage, strength, and grit. I have seen firsthand the important work police officers in Montana and across the country do to make our communities safer."
