Congressman Matt Rosendale has expressed strong disapproval following the Department of Defense's recent decision to deploy a Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) battery and associated U.S. military personnel to Israel. This move by the Biden-Harris administration has sparked criticism from Rosendale, who argues that Congress was not consulted before escalating what he describes as a foreign war.
In his statement, Rep. Rosendale questioned the administration's actions: “Why was Congress not consulted before the escalation of a foreign war by sending a ‘THAAD battery and associated crew of U.S. military personnel’ into a war zone?” He further criticized the administration's foreign policy approach, stating, “The Biden-Harris admin is a case study on what NOT to do overseas! They removed sanctions from Iran allowing them to enrich themselves and buy weapons to attack others, and then they send troops and bombs to Israel to fight Iran! The Biden-Harris admin is facilitating both sides of this war and creating havoc in the region.”
Rosendale’s remarks highlight ongoing tensions regarding U.S. involvement in international conflicts without direct Congressional approval or consultation.
