Governor Greg Gianforte expressed approval for a federal court's decision to issue a nationwide injunction against President Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for health care workers. The ruling was welcomed by Gianforte, who highlighted the potential impact on Montanans.

"“Hundreds of Montanans at risk of losing their livelihoods from the president’s unlawful overreach can now breathe a sigh of relief,” said Gov. Gianforte. He further stated that the mandate is not only unconstitutional but would also have serious consequences for Montana health care providers, which are already dealing with a persistent worker shortage.

Gianforte emphasized that discrimination based on vaccination status is illegal in Montana and affirmed the state's commitment to safeguarding the rights of its residents.
