The Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) is inviting Montanans to nominate candidates for the annual Emergency Medical Services (EMS) awards. The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the Capitol Rotunda in Helena.

This event is scheduled during Emergency Medical Services Week from May 19-25 and coincides with EMS for Children Day on May 22. It aims to honor individuals and organizations that provide outstanding service through the EMS system. This year marks the 50th anniversary of EMS Week, themed "EMS: Honoring the Past, Forging our Future."

According to DPHHS officials, the program's purpose is to acknowledge both volunteer and career EMS providers.

"The general public, EMS providers, or any interested parties are encouraged to recognize those outstanding individuals and organizations by submitting a nomination."

The nomination form can be accessed online. A total of six awards will be presented at the ceremony.

Nominations must be submitted by Wednesday, April 17, 2024. They can be sent via mail to Shari Graham, EMS System Manager, PO Box 202951, Helena MT 59620; emailed to sgraham2@mt.gov; or faxed to 406-444-1814.
