The Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) is inviting residents of Montana to nominate individuals and organizations for the annual Emergency Medical Services (EMS) awards. The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the Capitol Rotunda in Helena.
This event coincides with Emergency Medical Services Week from May 21-27 and EMS for Children Day on May 24. It aims to honor those who provide outstanding service within the state's EMS system. The theme for this year's EMS Week is "EMS: Where Emergency Care Begins."
According to DPHHS officials, the program's purpose is to acknowledge both volunteer and career EMS providers.
Nominations can be submitted using a form available online at https://dphhs.mt.gov/assets/publichealth/EMSTS/EMS/EMS_AWARD_NOMINATION_FORM.pdf. Six awards will be presented during the ceremony.
Members of the public, EMS providers, or any interested parties are encouraged to submit nominations for deserving individuals and organizations. Submissions must be received by Wednesday, April 12, 2023. They can be mailed to Shari Graham, EMS System Manager, PO Box 202951, Helena MT 59620; emailed to sgraham2@mt.gov; or sent via fax to 406-444-1814.
