On February 13, Downing commented on recent economic trends, stating, “The economy defies the critics yet again. Inflation is down, and business is booming on Main Street https://t.co/k47kFnHZ33”.

The following day, he highlighted a visit to a local emergency services department. On February 14, Downing wrote, “Awesome visit to Laurel Fire Rescue today.
