Congressman Troy Downing, representing Montana’s 2nd congressional district, has shared updates on his recent legislative activities and accomplishments through a series of posts on social media.

Downing assumed office as U.S. Representative for Montana’s newly redrawn second congressional district at the start of the 119th Congress in January 2025. The Lewis and Clark County Sheriff’s Office serves Helena and surrounding areas in western Montana. Appropriations bills are annual legislation through which Congress allocates federal funding to government agencies and programs.
