60 percent of applicants to The University of Montana-Western were admitted for fall 2018

At The University of Montana-Western, 76 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 64 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Dillon enrolled 1,508 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 7.1 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

73 percent of undergraduates are residents of Montana, and 26 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (80 percent) and American Indian or Alaska Native (4 percent).

The school admitted 60 percent of the 722 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 57 percent enrolled.
