FYI,
Road Closure Information
Montana Highway 1 (MT 1) will be closed over Flint Creek Pass near Georgetown Lake from Monday, October 10 through Friday, October 14. The closure will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday and the road is expected to reopen by 5 p.m. on Friday. This closure will allow The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and Hi-Tech Rockfall Construction to remove large potentially hazardous rocks from the area.
What to expect during the closure:
The road will be closed day and night for five days.
There are no feasible detour routes around the construction work zone.
Motorists are encouraged to use Interstate 90 to travel between Philipsburg and Anaconda during the closure.
MDT is coordinating with the Philipsburg School District and emergency responders throughout construction. Emergency responders and the school have plans developed to continue to provide services during the road closure.
