The City of Helena is gearing up to engage with its community in preparation for the upcoming public safety mill levy and bond. In an effort to inform residents and gather feedback, the city will host two informational meetings in May.

The meetings will provide an opportunity for residents to learn about the upcoming ballot issues, ask questions, and offer feedback regarding public safety in Helena. According to a statement from the city, residents are encouraged to attend these community conversations.

Former City of Helena Mayor Jim Smith will serve as the guest moderator for the first meeting, scheduled for Thursday, May 9, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Helena College - Lower-Level Conference 002-003. The second meeting, set for Thursday, May 23, at the Lewis & Clark Library - Large Community Room, will be moderated by former City of Helena City Manager Dennis Taylor.

While the meetings are open to the public, space will be limited. Interested residents are advised to check the public calendar and access resource materials on the Public Safety Mill Levy and Bond page on the City of Helena website for more information.

For further details on the upcoming community conversations and the public safety vote, residents are encouraged to visit www.helenamt.gov/public-safety-vote/.
