WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Matt Rosendale participated in the House Veterans Affairs Committee Oversight Subcommittee hearing titled "Bonus Blunder: Examining VA’s Improper Decision to Award Senior Executives Millions in Incentives." Rep. Rosendale questioned the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Michael Missal, and the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Denis R. McDonough.

“While I am pleased to see all the bonuses to senior executive staff have been ordered to be repaid and most of the money has been paid back, I believe this money should have been used to help retain employees who serve on the frontlines of the VA,” said Rep. Rosendale. “This whole ordeal has resulted in an unnecessary delay in ensuring that essential workers receive the competitive pay they deserve.”
