The City of Helena's Open Lands division is set to burn slash piles on February 26, due to favorable weather conditions. The burning will occur in two locations near the city. One location is Dale Harris Open Space on S. Cruse Street, where the fire will be visible. The other site is off Grizzly Gulch near the Dump Out Trail.
Officials have noted that all prescribed burning activities are dependent on weather conditions and may change accordingly.
