Event Description:

The Myrna Soundstage is an exciting new video series of fresh performances recorded live on The Myrna Loy’s stage, along with artist interviews by local musician John Dendy. Our second episode features Max Hay, a touring singer-songwriter, entertainer, and recording artist, who plays blues, Irish, country, reggae, jazz, acoustic, original, and folk music for pubs, bars, festival and events all over the world. Raised in Helena, Max has settled in Seattle where his stage presence and storytelling power can attract wider audiences. Also featured is Christy Hays. Christy lives in Austin, summers in Montana, and brings a unique thoughtful voice to the folk/country songwriting world. She has shared the stage with Hayes Carll, Sturgil Simpson, Bruce Robison, Kelly Willis and Jeffery Foucault, and has released two full-length albums on her own. The Austin Chronicle called her “Lucinda Williams in a Carhartt jacket.” Each monthly episode, featuring two artists, will last about 45 minutes and will be screened before an audience at The Myrna Loy while it is simultaneously streamed online. All episodes available for streaming thereafter. Join us for the watch party and see it on the big screen. (Limited to 40 tickets) http://bit.ly/themyrnasoundstage2 You can’t keep good musicians down!
