Starting Friday, April 11, the City of Helena will implement changes to the downtown smart parking meters. These meters will no longer accept credit card payments. According to the city, this adjustment affects only the traditional on-street smart meters. Credit cards will still be usable for lots and on-street spaces managed via the Passport Parking App and kiosks.

The city plans to remove the smart parking meters in the coming weeks, and these spaces will be managed by the Passport Parking system in the future. During this transition period, parking meters will still accept coin payments.

For further information or inquiries, individuals can contact the Parking Office at 406-447-8368.
