Summary
Duties
Plans, develops, and implements tobacco use prevention programs;
Evaluates programs and prepares reports based on program requirements and state directed deliverables;
Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with community partners, supervisors, staff, health professionals, medical providers, local and state decision makers, community and state agencies, and citizens;
Develops media outreach and educational materials;
Promotion of cessation through the Montana Tobacco Quitline’s;
Develops materials and outreach to eliminate disparities related to tobacco use and its effects among certain population groups such as women of childbearing age, American Indians, low-income residents, and individuals with mental health or substance use disorders;
Develops and participates in tobacco prevention and related health activities for schools and other community program providers;
Provides education, training, and policy assistance on the Montana Clean Indoor Air Act (CIAA);
Investigates CIAA violation complaints;
Attends and facilitates meetings, conferences, workshops, and trainings;
Conducts work in both Lewis and Clark County and Broadwater County;
Local travel is required weekly; travel is primarily local during the business day, but some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected;
Uses computer, phone, and common office equipment daily;
Performs duties and responsibilities in a culturally sensitive and appropriate manner;
Other duties as assigned.
