WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Matt Rosendale (MT-02) has officially launched the 2024 Congressional Art Competition, as reported today. The competition, organized by the Congressional Institute, aims to celebrate and support the artistic talents of high school students across the nation and in each congressional district.
According to the announcement, the Artistic Discovery competition, which has been running since 1982, has seen an impressive participation of over 650,000 high school students over the years. Winners of the competition will have the privilege of showcasing their artwork at the U.S. Capitol for a year and will be recognized during the annual awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.
In order to take part in the competition, students are required to submit their art pieces along with a student release form by Wednesday, May 1. Submissions should be sent to the Billings District Office at 2nd Ave N, Suite 7-8, Billings, MT 59102.
The 2023 winner of the competition was Daphne Rutter with her piece "Saddle Up."
