Granite County Public Health: Rabies in Montana

Remember to leave wild animals alone.  Wildlife is beautiful to look at but can have deadly consequences.  Any mammal can potentially have rabies and any bite can spread rabies to you.  If you have been bitten by an animal or had an encounter with a bat, please contact your local health department to talk about your rabies risk. Learn more at the DPHHS rabies website: https://dphhs.mt.gov/publichealth/cdepi/diseases/rabies
