WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Matt Rosendale (MT-02) reiterated his objections to the Biden administration's resettlement of migrants in Montana. In response to a recent report revealing the secret arrival of illegal aliens in Kalispell, Rep. Rosendale voiced his concerns.
"Since President Biden began releasing his border crisis onto Montana, I have demanded he be held accountable and his actions be reversed," stated Rep. Rosendale. He further emphasized that "Montana is not a sanctuary state, and I urge Governor Gianforte to use every authority at his disposal to refuse the resettlement of illegals in Montana."
Rep. Rosendale has been a vocal critic of the mass resettlement of migrants in Montana, citing safety concerns for the communities. He has a history of raising objections to such actions, including instances like the arrest of an Afghan parolee in Missoula for the rape of a young woman in 2021.
The congressman has taken legislative action to address the issue, such as introducing the SECURE America Act, which aims to enhance refugee vetting procedures and increase the authority of Governors and Congress in the resettlement process.
Rep. Rosendale's efforts have included calls to halt the resettlement of Afghan nationals and demands for a complete stop to migrant resettlement in Montana. His advocacy for stricter vetting processes and increased oversight in refugee admissions reflects his commitment to addressing the challenges posed by migrant relocation.
In his latest statement, Rep. Rosendale continues to push for accountability and a reversal of the Biden administration's actions regarding the resettlement of migrants in Montana.
