Congressman Matt Rosendale (MT-02) has addressed a letter to Martha Williams, Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), concerning the agency's refusal to replace a bridge leading to the Slippery Ann Elk Viewing Area at the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge. The bridge was washed away five months ago, hindering public access to view elk this fall.
"USFWS has had nearly half a year to fix the bridge that leads to Slippery Ann Elk Viewing Area," said Rep. Rosendale. "This situation not only threatens the tourism that Central Montana’s economy heavily relies on but also disrupts local hunters who will no longer be able to bow hunt in the area due to the blockage. The lack of action on this project appears to be yet another example of the Biden-Harris Administration’s active war against our citizens’ and visitors’ use of public lands."
