HELENA, Mont. – The City of Helena will start discussing details of the Fiscal Year 2025 budget with the Commission in April, with department presentations beginning at the April 17 Administrative Meeting. Each City department will present their proposed budget for the next fiscal year (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025) to the Commission prior to the City Manager preparing a preliminary budget in June. The proposed schedule for preparing the 2025 Fiscal Year budget is as follows:

The City Manager will present the Preliminary Budget for adoption in June, followed by the Final Budget Adoption in September. It is important to note that the presentation schedule is subject to change.
